It was an old private house that had been renovated very well and was a wonderful inn. The furniture in the Japanese-style room is from the past, making it feel like a Tora-san or a great literary figure would have stayed there. The toilet, shower, sink, etc. are new, clean, and stylish. It was an experience that you wouldn't get at a regular hotel or inn, and the children were overjoyed.
I stayed in a Japanese-style room on the second floor with a shower and toilet. It was late November, the season for autumn leaves, but there was a gap in the window, so it was a little cold at night even with the heating on.
